Nope, it's not from Muskoka but we are asked all the time for this honey!
We found this dark, rich, malty, aromatic honey from a beekeeper in the Ganaraska Valley, north of Port Hope, Ontario. The Buckwheat plant produces small, clustered white flowers on a multi-branched plant with heart-shaped leaves. It is said that honey bees can produce 150 lbs (68 kilos) of honey on just 1 acre of this super plant. Wow!
You'll like this type of honey if you like rich, molasses flavour. Great for baking and making granola.
